New vat fep new doubts

#1

Hi, I just changed to fep and I only have a couple of clarifications
1 to level in pdms the test is between 10.60 / 10.80 but in the fep puts 10.00 / 10.90 and I would like to know why there is so much difference 0.9 is much error margin https://wiki.peopoly.net/doku.php?id=moai:levelingnewplate
2 change the height of the Z axis and go from 1877 to 1816 also changes the size of the impression and I would like to know if this is corrected by performing step 7 in the advanced calibration https://docs.google.com/document/d/17EYM9WTy9HMLh6x3lLFIOnQ_dxqDnTRWgukOVBkIxvg/edit or corrected by performing the cross test that measures 11,21,31,41,51,61

never touch the tiny screws on the galvo driver. i don’t understand what “impression” means.
if you have the standard build plate only i would level the fep vat to the build plate as it is a lot more accurate that pdms but be warned as it takes a lot of skill to get it dialed in, also fep can handle a lot more tolerance than pdms so if it prints without fail then mint! there is a way to calibrate distortion using a file on the sd card but i’m not sure of the process.
i would advise anyone getting the fep vat to get the self level build plate even though its messier and you can adjust the z height a bit to make sure your build plate is actually sitting on the fep bottom, mine hovers 1mm above recommended setting so i had to increase the number by 5 then set level.

This is what I try to explain. when changing the height of the Z axis, the XY axis is compulsorily changed and I just want to know how to correct those 3mm

Well doesnt that make total sense but yea im sure you can correct that going from one to another with a simple file under root directory or something. It reads it and adjusts it.
Help me out peopoly so im not talking out of a hole in my head!

there are 2 reason that this would happen, it can either be due to leveling, which you can adjust using the leveling guide . Or, it can be that you pressed the build plate to much

yes, you should follow all the steps just to be sure

this is what i was thinking but not sure if the resolution is large enough to counter that kind of difference.

even if you go through the asura test print, it will all go back to the advance calibration
